It is crucial to use new technologies to achieve greater internal efficiency and effectiveness, using tools to make the back-office more efficient, reducing operating costs by reducing bureaucracy and dematerialising processes, focusing on digitalisation and automating the pharmacy’s internal processes, reducing the effort associated with the administrative component. It is vital to review the interconnection flows between the various stakeholders in the medicine circuit, focusing on improving efficiency by integrating management with suppliers and managing orders, communication, returns, electronic invoicing, and other internal processes. In this way, it will be possible to optimise logistics processes, generate value for the different stakeholders in the distribution chain, and offer the best possible service to the community.1
