The synergy between health systems and community pharmacies in various countries has proven to be an asset for the population. The provision of key and specialised services that effectively meet the needs of the population in conjunction with the other levels of health care, adapting to the specific needs of the population in the area in question and complementing the health system guarantee a response to the needs of the people in the community in which the pharmacy is located. This can be achieved with new models, projects and services to support citizens in the area of health, guaranteeing, on one hand, greater access for people, responding to specific gaps, and, on the other hand, remuneration for the intervention of pharmacies among the most isolated populations.1,2
